Tri-Village ailing after a 3 game losing skid got a prescription for the pain. It was written with the word Bradford and the dose was just right as they handed them a 69-29 defeat. The Railroaders didn’t have the size to compete with the Patriots or Corey Jay who would go for 31 points that just as easy could have been 45 if he played the entire game.
The Patriots got 14 points in the paint in the first quarter led by Jay with 11, Lindamood 5 and Quinn 4 jumping out to a lead of 20-4.
In the second period Bradford would play fairly even but again the inside game was too much for as they trailed at the half 35-13.
In the third quarter Jay netted 12 of his game high 31 points and he would be finished for the evening. Meanwhile Bradford struggled trying to find a way to penetrate the Patriot zone or even get a good shot being held to just two points in the third period.
In the fourth quarter the bench was cleared allowing all nine Patriot players to see action and all of them scored in the contest as the Patriots ran away with an easy 69-29 win.
One positive, the Patriots have struggled at times this year from the free throw line but tonight converted 15-19 attempts and that kind of shooting wins close games.
Tri-Village goes to 2-5 on the season and 2-2 in the conference and will see action again on Monday at 7:30 when they face the host team of the Jet Holiday Tournament. It was just last Friday they went to Franklin Monroe leaving crushed after falling 62-52, and the Patriots no doubt have aspirations of avenging the first outcome.
In Junior Varsity action Tri-Village recorded a second win in row 46-26, led by Mark Wheeler with 16 points while Derrick Chowning added 13.
