| Bradford OH Two years ago Tri-Village went to Bradford and held the Roaders to just 1 point in the first half. Bradford must have a long memory and they made sure that wasn’t going to happen again. In fact they almost scored more points in this game then the two previous games combined.
Although the Roaders are still having problems winning games they are vastly improved on the offensive end but in the end they were still outmanned as Tri-Village went on to record a 65-41 win.
Bradford got on the board first with a free throw by Emmanuel Hill. The Patriots looking somewhat sluggish and finally got on the board at 5:23 by David Barger inside and he followed up with another score at 4:56 to give the Patriots a 4-1 lead.
Hill would score two more times for Bradford but T-V would get a jumper by Logan Brubaker and two by Sam Lindamood to extend their lead to 10-5. Mark Wheeler sank 2 free throws (7-for-8 in the game) and Lindamood finished out the quarter with an old fashioned 3-pointer to give T-V a 15-6 lead.
In the second period Bradford came storming back nailing 3 treys in the quarter and when Aaron Szilggyi drained one at 5:15 the lead had shrunk to 17-14. Tri-Village would get five-points in the quarter from Daniel Foreman, four from Lindamood, two from Wheeler and Derrick Chowning off a stickback to take a 28-23 lead into the half.
The Railroaders came out charging in the third quarter scoring the first four points drawing within one point 28-27 at 6:34. A Foreman free throw and Logan Brubaker running jumper made it 31-27 but… Emmanuel Hill answered with a rainbow jumper from 10’ to make it 31-29 at 4:27. Bradford had a few opportunities to regain the lead or tie it but each time it drew close the PATS would make a key stop.
Sam Lindamood would score the next 7 points and Mark Wheeler 3 to give T-V a 10 point lead 41-31 at the end of the third quarter.
In the final stanza the Patriots would drop 24 more points on Bradford most of them by Mark Wheeler 14, Sam Lindamood 6 and Logan Brubaker 4 as the Patriots got the ball out and ran with many points off the break. T-V then cruised to victory 65-41.
“I thought we were a bit sluggish tonight,” said Coach Josh Sagester. “We finally got rolling in third quarter and finished the game strong.” “Sam Lindamood really started to take charge and Mark Wheeler had a good game as well.” “Mark has good offensive skills and can put the ball in the hole for us… when he does it makes us that much better.” “Bradford is a scrappy team and they play hard I was impressed with them,” concluded Sagester.
Sam Lindamood led T-V with 24 followed by Mark Wheeler with 21 points. Tyler Greer dished out 9 assists to help get the fast break offense flowing down the stretch.
At the halfway point of the regular season Tri-Village sports a 7-3 record overall and 5-0 in the conference. They are back in action next Friday hosting National Trail. It is Pork Chop Charlie night hosted by the music boosters. Serving starts at 4pm till it runs out.
