The Patriots celebrated Hall of Fame night and the induction of Terri Thommas, Scoob Cook and Kevin Pearson.

Terri Thomas – Thomas was a varsity letter winner in four different prep sports, including four letters in both girl’s basketball and track.

On the track, she was a three-time state qualifier, earning a spot in the state meet in the 440-yard run in 1979 and 1980 and in the renamed event of the 400 and 800 meters in 1981.

She became the state champion and record holder in the state meet in the 800 meters in 1981.

As a collegiate trace athlete at Bowling Green, Thomas was a member of the 3200 meter relay team that broke the Mid-American Conference (MAC) record at the NCAA Division 1 level.

Back in high school, on the basketball floor, she was a member of the Lady Patriot team that won the 1980 CCC title, and was name first team, all-CCC in 1981; Thomas had the team’s best free throw shooting percentage in 1979, and recorded the most assists in both 1980 and 1981.

In high school fall sports, she was a two-year letter winner in girl’s volleyball, and had the team’s best serving percentage in 1978.

Thomas also earned a letter in cross country in the fall of 1980, becoming the first girls ever to run cross country at Tri-Village High School. She earned first place at the Darke County Cross Country Meet that fall, and was a regional qualifier.

Kevin Pearson – Pearson was a three-year letter winner in basketball and baseball, as well as adding a letter in cross country.

In basketball, he was the team leader in assists for the seasons ending in 1983, 1985 and 1986. He is sixth on the all-time TV list in career assists with 239.

Pearson had the best free throw percentage on the Patriot team in 1984 and 1986 and the best field goal percentage in 1985 and 1986. He was a member of the Jet Tournament Championship team at Tri-Village in 1985 and was named as the Cross County Conference (CCC) Player of the Year in 1986.

On the baseball diamond he posted the team’s highest batting average in 1986 and had the most stolen bases on the team. That same season, Pearson was named first team all-Cross County Conference and was a member of the Patriot baseball team that won the CCC in 1984.

Robert “Scoob” Cook – Cook was a four year letter-winner in both baseball and basketball. On the hardwood he had the most rebounds during the 1991 season and also had the best field goal shooting percentage on that team, a team that end up as the State Runner-up in Division IV boy’s basketball.

Cook is the career scoring leading in Patriot boy’s hoops history with 1,012 points and is second in rebounding with 668. He is fourth all-time in field goal percentage at 55.9%.

He had the best field goal percentage on both the 1990 and 1991 teams. The 1990 team was ranked number one in the state in Division IV and the 1991 team finished with a ranking of number two.

In both of these years the Tri-Village team was the Cross County Conference champions and Cook was a part of the Patriot teams that won the Jet Holiday Tournament in both 1989 and 1990.

Individually, Cook was named first team all CCC in 1991 as well as second team all-Southwest District that season.

As for baseball, he had the team’s best ERA as a pitcher in 1990 at 1.66 and had the most RBI’s as a hitter. Cook then bettered that the next year when he lowered his ERA to 1.20, again the best on the team. The Tri-Village varsity baseball teams were both sectional runner-up squads in 1990 and 1991.
