Former Patriot athlets Jeff Rearick, Monica (George) Schlechty and Kirk Falknor were inducted into the Tri-Village Athletic Hall of Fame.

New Madison, Ohio – January 19, 2008

The Patriots were coming off a high with a double overtime victory over the Dixie Greyhounds, the number 2 team in the State in division III. Tri-Village however wanted to make sure the hometown and new Hall of Fame inductees would have a memorable night recording a 63-50 win over the visiting Fairlawn Jets.

The PATS came out and showed little effects from a grueling battle the night before on their way to a 21-9 first quarter lead. Ryan Buck established the inside game with 8 points in the frame. Tyler Greer and Drew Moore provided the outside game both draining treys with Greer netting 5 points and Moore 6. Logan Brubaker rounded out the scoring with a drive to the basket.

In the second stanza it was more of Buck inside with 7 points to lead the way as the Patriots took a 33-17 lead into the locker room.

The Patriots got scoring all around in the third period and led 41-30.

In the final stanza the Jets would continue to keep up the pressure even when the game was well out of reach fouling the Patriots from start to finish including an intentional foul with just 2 seconds to play.

Tri-Village weathered the beating with Drew Moore leading the way scoring 7 points from the free throw line down the stretch and 18 points in the game.

Ryan Buck led the way on the night with 20 points and Tyler Greer chipped in 14 as the Patriots recorded a 63-50 non-conference win.

The Patriots stand at 12-3 overall and prepare for two back-to-back league games next weekend that will help shape the conference title.

It was a special night for 3 new inductees into the Tri-Village Athletic Hall of Fame. Inductees were Jeff Rearick, Kirk Falknor and Monica (George) Schlechty. To see more about the inductees click on the Hall of Fame tab at the top of the page.
