Tyler Cook had a big second half in the paint scoring 13 points matching Shade Brubaker on the night as TV went on to an 83-32 win over Bradford.

12/9/11 – Bradford, Ohio

Bradford came out firing taking it to the visiting Patriots. Brandon Wysong started out with an old-fashioned three-point play and Alan Yount followed it with a drive to bucket for two to go up 5-0 in the early going.

Tri-Village then settled into the game and went on a 12-0 run led by Kyle Pipenger who scored 11 points in the opening frame as Tri-Village led 16-8.

The Patriots erupted for 27 points in the 2nd quarter many from the charity stripe due to the aggressive play of the Railroaders who totaled 19 fouls in the first half alone with one player fouling out.

Evan Barger had 6 points in the period while Pipenger led the way again with 13 points and had 24 at the half as Tri-Village led 43-14.

In the 3rd frame the Patriots continued to roll as Shade Brubaker connected on 2 of his 4 treys on the night…but also got treys from Matthew Werner and Haedon Schlechty. Tyler Cook scored 8 points in the lane as Tri-Village extended their lead to 67-23.

The Patriots were able to get a battery of scoring from the entire team and got a great 4th quarter from junior Kaleb Chowning scoring 6 points as Tri-Village went on to claim an 83-32 league victory over Bradford.

For the game Tri-Village went to the charity stripe 37 times making 26 on 70% shooting.

Kyle Pipenger hit a career high scoring 31 points while also snaring 10 rebounds. Shade Brubaker and Tyler Cook each netted 13 points. Evan Barger pulled down 10 boards, 7 offensive and had 5 blocked shots, Andrew Willcox added 4 blocks as well.

“I was encouraged to see our kids remain focused and play basketball tonight,” said Coach Josh Sagester. “They maintained good effort and continued to execute what we need to do in order to become a better basketball team.”

“We were able to get everybody good minutes and everyone contributed tonight and that’s always nice. “We’ll now prepare for Arcanum next Friday night in a key league game”, concluded Sagester.

In Junior Varsity action Tri-Village won 61-31 to go 3-0 on the year. Colton Linkous led the way with 25 points.

Evan Barger goes up for one of his 5 blocked shots. The Bigs recorded 12 blocks with Andrew Willcox adding 4 and Tyler cook 3 to make it tough for the Roaders to score in the paint.

Kyle Pipenger rose above the rest on the night scoring a career high 31 points.
