Tipp City Bethel The undefeated Tri-Village High School boys basketball team jumped out to an early lead and was never threatened, defeating home standing Bethel 92-73 in a Cross County Conference game Friday night.
“I was pretty pleased overall,” said Tri-Village coach Lee Falknor. “Our defense didn’t play well at times. Bethel is a team struggling with its confidence, but we let them do some more things than they have been doing tonight.”
Tri-Village led 23-15 at the end of the first quarter and 44-31 at intermission. The Patriots outscored Bethel 28-16 in the third period to break open the game.
“We did a nice job in the third quarter,” Falknor said. “We played well offensively.”
Once again, the Patriots had excellent balance, placing five players in double figures. Scoob Cook led the way with 19, Randy Ward scored 17, Nate Lindamood added 16, Shane Bietry totaled 15, and Dirk Lewis tallied 13.
“That is what is helping us,” Falknor said. “We have had good balance all year.”
Tri-Village 6-0 overall and 3-0 in conference games, will host Northeastern, Indiana, tonight.
