November 2004 – New Madison, Ohio

The Tri-Village Lady Patriots will be returning quite a bit of experience from a team that went 14-9 overall and 9-2 with a third place finish in the conference last year. There are 3 returning starters (Heather Deaton, Olivia Frazier and Brennan Moore) as well as letter winner and backup guard Mary Skidmore. These 4 girls should all be starters for this year’s team. Also returning is Karli Dill, Mollie Shane and Brittney Bailey with some varsity experience. In addition to these girls are sophomore Kaley Stahl and freshman Tina Allison rounding out the varsity roster.

Olivia Frazier and Brennan Moore were first team CCC performers last year and Heather Deaton was first team 2 years ago. Olivia was the leading scorer last year (10.9), Heather was the leading rebounder (6.9), and Brennan was the leader in assists (6.6). They will be complimented with excellent ball handling and defense from Mary Skidmore and the outside shooting of Karli Dill. Tina Allison, Kaley Stahl and Brittney Bailey add size and quickness to the lineup with Mollie Shane providing senior leadership.

With all this experience, depth and quality of players the Lady Patriots are looking for an exciting and competitive season. The team has put a lot of time in during the off-season and hopefully will remain healthy to give the TV fans enjoyment this winter.

Coach Jim Maples

Heather Deaton, (Captain)
Grade: Senior
Number: 32
Height: 5’-9”
Position: Forward

Comments: Heather in her third year as a starter is a lefthander who has a strong inside game. She likes to mix it up but needs to stay out of foul trouble to be effective.

Olivia Frazier, (Captain)
Grade: Senior
Number: 44
Height: 5'-8"
Position: Forward

Comments: Olivia was a surprise to many in the league last year leading the Lady Patriots in offense. She drives well to the basket and can knock down the 15’ footer. A strong competitor she will be looked upon to showcase this intensity on the defensive side of the ball as well.

Brennan Moore, (Captain)
Grade: Senior
Number: 24
Height: 5'-7"
Position: Guard

Comments: Brennan is a quiet player who loves doing the little things that makes a team effective. Whether it’s making that special pass, defensive steal or important stop, Brennan is usually the one making the play. She is athletic and has a nice shot from 15'.

Mollie Shane, (Captain)
Grade: Senior
Number: 22
Height: 5’-4”

Comments: Mollie is a hard worker and an intense competitor. She will be looking to provide a spark to the team when needed.

Mary Skidmore
Grade: Junior
Number: 42
Height: 5'4"
Position: Forward

Comments: Mary will provide solid ball handling and defensive skills. She has the ability to hit the open shot if left alone.

Karli Dill
Grade: Junior
Number: 25
Height: 5'8"
Position: Guard

Comments: Karli is another player who can provide sound ball handling skills and runs the floor well. She has the ability to finish off the break and score from the outside.

Brittney Bailey
Grade: Junior
Number: 34
Height: 5'-9"
Position: Forward

Comments: Brittney is a versatile player who can fill a couple of spots on the floor. She will be needed to provide backup support and play solid defense and strong rebounding.

Kaley Stahl
Grade: Sophomore
Number: 20
Height: 5'-10"
Position: Forward

Comments: Kaley will be looked upon to contribute by playing with more intensity and confidence and can play both inside and outside.

Tina Allison
Grade: Freshman
Number 35
Height: 5’-11”
Position: Center

Comments: Tina benefited from playing AAU Basketball over the summer with her height and physical ability she will be a welcomed inside presence. She can be an intimidator in the middle with good rebounding skills and inside scoring but can also handle the ball outside as well.
