Bradford High School 1/26/06
The Lady Patriots were back in Conference play tonight and hoping the Lady Railroaders would be the answer to help get them back on track and in the win column after a 4 game skid.
In the opening stanza the Patriots wasted little time taking advantage of their height and the inside game. Tina Allison would score 8 in the quarter fed by Karli Dill into the post. Kaley Stahl added a stickback and Dill two free throws and the PATS held a 12-7 first quarter lead.
In the second quarter senior Brittney Bailey started off with a 15’ jump shot while Allison and Stahl continued to score inside for Tri-Village. Dill would score 7 points in the quarter and senior Krystal Barton knocked in a shot as time expired in the first half giving T-V a 29-17 lead.
In the third quarter the Patriots got scoring from all five starters and they continued to expand their lead to 41-27.
In the final period Bradford could get no closer than 11 points and were forced to foul early sending the Lady PATS to the line 9 times converting 10-of-15 attempts on their way to a 55-39 conference win.
Tri-Village had 3 players score in double figures with Tina Allison leading the way with 16, Karli Dill added 15 and Kaley Stahl contributed 13 points. Stahl pulled down 11 rebounds and Allison 9 boards. Karli Dill led in the assist category with 7 dishes.
Tri-Village goes to 9-7 overall and 5-4 in the conference. T-V next plays Union City, Indiana on Monday at Tri-Village in non-conference action.
