December 2, 2006 - New Madison, Ohio

The Lady Patriots came into tonight’s game on a 2 game skid. The young lady Patriots got 5 points in the first quarter from freshman Jordyn Fisherback and eight points from Tina Allison to jump out ahead of Trail 15-7.

In the second quarter the lady Blazers pressured Tri-Village into turnovers and limited their half-court possessions to close the gap to 20-17 with 1:30 to play. Allison would get two off a steal and freshman Kaila Burns ranged in a trey to give the PATS a 25-17 lead at the half.

In the third period the Patriots would get scoring a variety of ways from all 5 starters opening up a comfortable lead of 41-23 going into the final stanza.

The Patriots subbed in freely near the end of the game giving another freshmen Shawnda Stamps her first career varsity point off a free throw to close out the win for the Patriots 48-31.

A pleased Coach Gray said after the game, “this was good win for us and will help us to build confidence. We have some young players that are going to have to step up and help this team especially in the ball handling department.”

“Tina Allison was big for us tonight and we will need her to do that every night,” commented Gray. “Kaley Stahl our senior gives us a solid effort every night and our younger players are just going to get better.”

For the game Tina Allison poured in 22 points and pulled down 17 rebounds.

The Patriots are now 2-2 on the season and host Covington Thursday night in a big league contest.
