The Lady Patriots struggled last week with a loss at Bradford and then a close two-point loss to a good Franklin Monroe team on Saturday. Tonight they were hosting Union Modoc from Indiana and TV wasn’t hospitable as they took out their frustrations recording a lopsided victory 52-17.
Tri-Village raced out to a 17-4 opening stanza lead. The Patriots had 6 players score in the process, Kaila Burns, Tina Allison, Erin Bundy, Shawnda Stamps, Jordyn Fisherback and Amelia Frazier.
Union shorthanded on the night with many of their reserve players serving double time playing in the JV and varsity game was unable to match the Patriots intensity. Tri-Village defended very well and Union struggled to score.
The second quarter would prove to be the best for Union scoring 8 points while the Patriots scored 12 and Tri-Village took a halftime lead of 29-12.
In the third quarter it would have been easy for TV to come out flat but they maintained their intensity on the defensive end holding Union to just 2 points while scoring 13 of their own most of them by Jordyn Fisherback as the Patriots pounded the ball inside.
Tri-Village closed out the final stanza with their reserve players winning the period 8-3. For the game a trio of Nunley sisters did all the scoring for Union.
Tri-Village was led in scoring by Jordyn Fisherback with 15 while seven other Patriots scored as well.
The win raises TV’s record to 6-7 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
