Even though it happened late in the 2006-2007 season most of the Lady Pat’s were back from the team that fell to the Lady Railroaders of Bradford when the teams last met. These Patriots’s didn’t intend for there to be a repeat of what was still very vivid in their memories.
Tri-Village gets the tip and Amelia Frazier finds Kaila Burns to start the scoring. Tri-Village presses and Jordyn Fisherback gets the steal, Tina Allison finds a put back to make it 4-0 Pat’s. Allison fakes from the arc and moves in for a ten foot jumper. Tina Allison finds Jordyn Fisherback inside on the next Patriot possession and it is 8-0. Erin Bundy finds Fisherback for an easy two in transition. Brittany Reed puts Bradford on the board with a three at 2:02. Frazier answers for TV with a trey and it is 13-3. Reed hits a baby hook for two and another jumper for the Roaders to make it 13-7. Erin Bundy gets her third offensive board of the quarter and puts it back and the quarter ends with the Lady Pat’s leading 15-7.
There is no scoring the second period until Bradford hits a twelve foot jumper at 4:50. Amelia Frazier answers with a drive down the lane and it’s 17-9. Goubeaux gets a put back for Bradford and a Reed drive makes it a four-point game at 17-13. Frazier finds Bundy in transition to push it back to six. Jordyn Fisherback gets hammered inside and drops both charity tosses and it’s 21-13. Amelia Frazier steals a pass and throws it ahead to Tina Allison for a lay-up and the Pat’s go up ten. Brittany Reed takes the inbound for the Railroader’s and dribbles through three TV defenders for a six foot jumper at the buzzer to close the half with Lady Patriot’s in control 23-15.
Bradford opens the second half in a zone defense again, Tina Allison finds Erin Bundy with a skip pass for a lay-up and it’s 25-15. Goubeaux hits a trey for Bradford but Kaila Burns answers for TV and makes it 28-18. Allison finds Fisherback inside for two plus the free-throw and the lead is thirteen. Fisherback to Bundy as the Pat’s continue to attack the backside of the Roader zone. Frazier to Fisherback and then Bundy to Fisherback off of a steal and the score is 39-18 TV. Reed hits one of two Bradford free throws, 39-19. Hillary Frech finds Shawnda Stamps inside for two. Brittany Reed drives the lane for two to make it an eighteen-point differential. Bradford tries a full-court trap press, but the Pat’s easily break it for two. Erin Bundy drives for a nice lay-up from the left side and the quarter ends with the score 45-21 Tri-Village.
Tri-Village would get every one some playing time in the fourth quarter as they rode the lead they had built to a 50-32 victory. The Lady Patriots will take on the Lady Jets of Franklin Monroe Saturday at the Hangar.
